Book Description
Textbook of Pharmacognosy, Volume II is intended for removing the lacuna of a text useful for the diploma and degree students of pharmacy in colleges and universities. A sincere effort has been made to incorporate all the details into each chapter of the book. The synonyms, vernacular names, etymology and the derivation of the binomials have been provided in addition to every detail of the drugs. The non medical uses such as culinary and industrial uses are an addition. The history of the drugs is an added feature to help the reader follow the time-line of drug development. A detailed glossary of medical terms helps in the easy location and proper understanding of the subject. The review questions provided at the end of each chapter help the students in their examination preparation.
